The use of biodegradable polymer materials is one of the effective ways to reduce polymer material pollution. Countries around the world are striving to carry out research and development work, and promote their applications, with broad prospects. Biodegradable polymer materials can return organic matter to nature through composting, in order to achieve and maintain ecological balance. At present, the research on biodegradation technology is still limited to plastic products composed of a single material in application. For multi-layer functional flexible packaging composite films, due to the different materials of each layer, the degradation mechanism and control of degradation rate of each layer of material are still technical difficulties.
The environmental friendliness of flexible packaging film should meet the three characteristics of easy recycling, easy disposal, and easy disposal. Degradable plastics only meet the characteristic of "easy to digest", and in terms of recycling and disposal, they are even inferior to ordinary plastics. Therefore, we should treat biodegradable plastics scientifically, pragmatically, and rationally based on the characteristics of different packaging film structures, which is the key to the sustainable development of our industry.
